I used to make lots of doorhangers back in the 80s--even taught others how when I worked for a craft store.

Take a wood embroidary hoop--4"-6". Separate it into the inner & outer hoop (to make 2 hangers).

Wrap each hoop with ribbon, yarn, raffia, etc. Or paint/stain the hoop.

Make a floral arrangement or other focal piece & attach to the bottom of the hoop.

Hang on the doorknob.

Note: When I did these originally it was mostly floral arranging. Now? I'd definitely be adding stamped materials or using stamped stuff to create the hanger's focal decoration.

Sorry Trudy--no pix or templates.:)

If I want to make a door hanger, I just cut my own out of card stock.

When I made door hanger, I used thin cardboard for my base. I went to craft section and got one of those foam door hangers and traced it off on cardboard. Gave the foam to grandson to decorate. We made them together.

Trudy, maybe if you type "how to make a chequebook cover" into Google, you may get some some tutorials or ideas.
