View Full Version : Ever do 'pen work' on a stamped image?

Inspiration for this thread is due to working on my submission for the Recycle challenge & my attempt to add some stamping to the envelope I'm sending to Kathy N.

I used a stamp that Kathy sent me several moons ago. It worked 'ok' on the newspaper, but needed (for me) some intensification for a few of the line details.

And with the envelope, the image didn't 'take' completely.

In both cases I pulled out my pens (Micron) & used them to my advantage.

With the project I just went over a few lines of the stamped image.

With the envelope, I used the pen to alter the stamped image (same stamp).

I've done this sort of penwork in the past--often with Posh images which tend to be less-detailed & therefore excellent for doing penwork on.

So... How 'bout you?

I have "Fixed" a poorly inked section of a stamped image with a micron pen and was pleased with the result. :)

I do the same. Unless it is too badly stamped than I re-ink my stamp pad and start over.....the flower child

I've used pens to fix lines that didn't print all the way and also for detailing a stamp. Use a pen a lot for cat whiskers.

Oh yes, I do this quite often!
