View Full Version : Happy 'Thannukah'!

Today is an historic one. It is Thanksgiving in the USA and the first night of Hannukah. The two will not coincide again for 80, 000 years!

So 'Gobble Tov', everyone. I saw a great 'Thannukah' menorah. It's a turkey & the candles fit in the tail. Too funny!

If memory serves, jelly-filled donuts are a Hannukah treat--along with potato pancakes (my fave). Surprised I haven't seen a recipe for using cranberry as the jelly filling. Might be tasty.:)

The boid is coming along. It's skin is getting golden brown & smells good. I love turkey. I just put the casseroles in the oven--yams & baked butter beans. We're having premade stuffing & gravy, along with a deli cole slaw.

Wishing all my fellow CPs a wonderful pair of holidays!

Hmmm. Cranberry filled donuts? Not so sure about that. But potato pancakes with cranberry sauce - that might not be so bad.

Happy Hanukkah all!

Happy Thanksgiving to all who are here and to the memories of those who are not.
