Mary, I'm just seeing this for first time, so sorry I haven't let you know about me before now. I just saw the Infection Control Doc yesterday for lst timesince I've been on all this medication, which put me in hospital with acute renal failure. I'm on some new stuff now and think maybe it is helping.....everything except my pocketbook. Can't believe the price of some of it. One retailed for $1288. a month. I just told doc I could not afford that one, so he substituted. I am much better, cough not nearly as bad and have gained back7 of 14 lbs. I lost and feel like doing things for a change. Poor Joe, he had to learn a lot about housework in a hurry. He was a jewel. don't know what I'd have done without him and my sweet daughter. She prepared about 5 meals for us, froze them and brought them to us from Spartanburg. They were a life-saver!
I'm hoping now to keep up with things more. Thanks for asking.

Gingerbaby, Thanks for asking about my surgery. It has been 6 weeks now and I am feeling like a human being. As far as the pain is concerne, it was instand relief after he injected the cement in the area that had colapsed. Just took me longer to get over surgery at 76 than 20 years ago at 56. It is wonderful to be walking free of pain now and able to do things. My dh has taken over so many of my household tasks and said some of them are permanent like vacuuming (I like that idea), but I can cook again and that is a blessing. Only thing Joe "cooks" is a good peanut butter sandwich! I'm doing fine and doctor has more or less dismissed me....gave me an appt. for 4 months away and said I didn't have to keep it if I didn't need to. Thanks again for your thoughts and prayers.

Virginia, how did you make out at the hospital? Were they able to relieve you of some of your pain. I hope so.
