I got an invite for Ken's party...but Rob was recovering from surgery that weekend and I couldn't get away. Lori (one of the gals that used to work here with Ken) was there. I bet if you were there too you met her. Bummer if i missed meeting you. I think you have longevity in your bones!! For the docs to do surgery like that on a 90 year old woman, your mom must be pretty remarkable. Hee hee, gee if she's Ken's sis it's in the family!! OOXX

Thanks so much Virginia. You should have been able to get my C.P. email by clicking onto my name, but just in case you need it again, it is is mine and my husbands. Thanks so much again! Can't wait to try it I usually make cornbread in my cast iron pan so I will probably use that.

Julie B.T. I assume this is a private message even tho' it doesn't say so. Couldn't find your e-mail for PM, so here goes.

You mentioned me giving you the recipe for my Pepper Bread. I just basically told you what went in it, but FYI, here is the recipe for it is really good.

    1 1/2 c. meal, 1/2 tsp. soda, 1 tsp. salt, I c. milk, 2 eggs, 1 sm.can creamed corn, 1/2 lb. grated cheese,
1c. onion, chopped, 1/3 c. chopped bell pepper, 2/3 c. oil. Combine all ingredients, except oil, in large bowl; mix well. Pour oil in iron frying pan (may use pyrex dish). Heat and pour 1/2 of oil in mixture. Leave remaining in pan. Add batter. Bake at 350 for 30-40 minutes. Try it, easy and yummy!!!

Sadly, I do not know where he came from .I will ask my mom. He passed away in 1972 but he spoke German as did my Austrian grandmother.I have never been there but a couple members of my family have been and of course said it is beautiful! I have always loved the mountains. I think it is because my g.parents came from the mountains in Europe We are still having a bit of warm weather in Northern California(east of San Francisco in the San Joaquin Valley) for the next few days ~77-80 degrees and then back down to the mid-high 6os where I hope it will stay and keep getting colder. We just finished our walnut and almond harvest which is always a very hectic time.Take care, Julie..I have to go to breakfast with my hubby up in the foothills

    Hi Julie,
Thanks for your message (and explaining about PMs). What part of Switzerland does your grandfather come from? Does he speak French, Swiss-German, or Italian? Have you ever visited the country and/or do you have family here that you keep in touch with?
Have a good November. It's a great month in California, isn't it?

Hi, Julie, I have moved out of the Gila Wilderness area where the fires are now. I feel pretty safe here in Las Cruces but feel sorry for my friends who still live there. I very rarely log in to Club Posh any more as I am now a Stampin'up Demonstrator. I love that all their papers, inks, ribbons, etc. are color coordinated. I have been posting my cards on the Splitcoaster's website. I have many of the Copic markers and love how they blend.
I hope you and your family are well.

Julie, I have never ordered directly from Crafters Companion because of being overseas, but Paper Wishes is a great company to deal with. My order is speedy and they always send a thank you e-mail. Kay

Hey Julie, sorry I'm not quite in the swing of the "visitor message" page. Got it. Mom was thrilled with her box. She is so funny. She grabbed it and ran. I had to chase her down for the return address. We're catching up so you'll see a Thank you post from Mom. OOXX Judi

Julie, I tried to move your post on the Egypt conflict to a new thread for prayer requests for 2011 but since you posted first, your post came out on top. So, I hope you don't mind but I changed the title so the thread would have the correct heading.
