I brought this thread back because we all use dies.ni find the machine is becoming more important than the dies. I use the Sissix big shot and the Cuttlebug. What do you use and why.

Big Shot Pink and Black retired -When did it come out?
Hi, 11/10/2019 revisiting. I use the Cuttlebug for embossing and Big Shot for die cutting. I sent it to the big shot graveyard yesterday. I had loaned it out to a craft room in my community and now I can't get it to work no matter what shim I try. It sounded funny, too. The craft room didn't use it. I think it was just too old. I am trying to determine how long I had it. I've replaced it with a Big Shot pro. Still have an accucut, Cuttlebug and Wizard and Vagabond. Never use the Wizard. Hard to get used to after using roller type.

I use the cuttlebug and also I am using the Gemini Jr. It seems to cut thru the intricate diecuts better than my cuttlebug and I don't have to turn the handle, like I do with my cuttlebug. It is easier to use and small enough to set on my stamping counter. Both my hands have arthritis in my thumbs due to 37 years as a nurse. I seem to use my cuttlebug when I am using an embossing folder but my Gemini Jr when die cutting. Hope this helps other people when they are deciding on a new die cutting machine. Hugs, DebRN
