Our local high school band, Lakota West, was invited to play at the Rose Bowl this year. It's their second time to be there. I shivered as I watched them. The girls looked so cold in their red spaghetti strap dresses. I imagine 37 is REALLY cold for CA. They are coming home Sunday to even colder temperatures.

I saw them and they were wonderful!!!
You never know what kind of weather you will get for the Rose Bowl, sunny with perfect temps. ,
warm, rainy and cold or just plain cold! I saw that the viewers were all dressed warmly in the stands and looked like they were having fun!

I'm making it a crafty one by using my new OttLite that I got for Christmas. It really does make a difference and I love it.

I am making 2015 a super-duper craft year. My kids from NY bought me tons of wire shelves for my craft closet and My son-in-law put them all up and helped me load them. They are the best and the really take good care of me. My other son-in-law bought me a new Kindle because mine won't charge any more. So expect lots of goodies from me this year. I am a big fan of sharing what I have with others. I'll take some pictures when I come home this afternoon.

Your shelves sound great! Always nice to have a place to put stuff.

Talking Home at last!!!!

First, Mary, let me say that I'm drooling over your craft storage!!!

Well, after about 1 1/2 months of being in the hospital and a rehab hospital because I had both my knees replaced at the same time, I am finally able to come home!! I have never experienced such pain in my life, but it's much much better now with the help of pain pills and intense physiotherapy. The physiotherapists are very pleased with my progress. I can walk well with a walker, and am also walking a bit using only two canes as long as someone is walking with me. Now I can also go up and down 13 stairs using a cane so that meant that I could go home and continue doing my exercises over the holidays. This coming Monday I go back to the rehab as an outpatient for further physiotherapy twice a week. My surgeon was also pleased with my progress and I'll not have to see him again until February.
I still have to keep my legs up quite a bit and find it a bit difficult to have a comfortable sleeping position, but I know that will improve the more I do the exercises.

I want to thank those of you who sent me beautiful and amusing get well cards and good wishes. They really improved my outlook on things and I appreciate them very much!

When I'm able to use my scanner, I will scan the November ATC and card I received as well as the December ATC. They are great!

Sorry that I haven't commented on anything for the past month or so, but couldn't use my laptop at the hospital as it hurt to put it on my lap or to have my legs hang down for long if I put it on a table. Anyway, hope everything will be back to normal soon.

Janet, So glad to hear you are making progress. Hang in there and just keep thinking how good it will be when you are up and moving much better. In my mind you were brave to have both done at the same time. But I can see where you would only want to go thru that once. I do not like to go to doctor or hospitals. I'm glad they are there when I need them but just not on my list of favorite things to do. Stay positive! Poshies are here if you need cheering up!

Ann I remember that band. I remember thinking that they had to be cold. That is so exciting knowing they were from your local high school. Thanks for sharing!

Thanks for all the comments, I have the best Son-In-Law ever. He even brought me a wonderful bottle of Champagne in a case that keeps it cold.

I haven't been online for the last couple of days so I don't know exactly when it happened, but we've got a new top poster - Blossom!

Way to go!
