That distressed ink color, Spiced Marmalade, made delicious color/texture on your card! I especially like the handmade paper/distressing for the flowers!

Daniel, this is great news that you are having Lois scan your cards this time (less suspense)!

Daniel asked me if I would post his offering for this challenge. I will upload them and he will do the describing. I just might add they are beautiful. So much texture and so much eye candy. One is the actual card and two are photos. I hope you don't mind Daniel. Nice work Daniel.......the flower child

PS the first one I put the background behind the picture to enhance daniel's color choice. The second is the actual card scanned in and the third is the inside of this card which is a photo

Thumbs up

Blossom! Thanx for the uplifting words & the uploading. You're aren't just a 'blossom'--you're a blooming 'bouquet', pal...

Details? OK, I'll try... Click on the first one. I used a piece of 4.5 x 6.5 PP as the base for this nonfold card & embossed it with TH's woodgrain e-folder. Rubbed & brushed with tea dye DI. Next, I used a large Mapleleaf punch & saved the punchout. Backed the opening with a piece of shipping label (sticky side to the front of the card). Stippled the 'sticky' with various DIs--then applied bath powder (Coty's L'Origon) to set the ink & glue. Brushed off the excess powder & wiped clean. Used a brush & aged mahogany to deepen the edge of the punchout & taped in place.

The torn paper strip is also shipping label. I embossed with my ornamental iron e-folder & worked DI's into it. The flower circles were punched from blue shipping label, stamped with a flower I cut from one of the Posh Asian borders. Then I used a McGill embosser to add texture to them before applying. To finish off, I used a MS punch--Garden Trellis--on another piece of PP & taped it position. Coming up? The 'window' card....

Wow, Daniel, you are really gettin' after it! The maple leaf one really "blows me away" in its artful texture combinations! And, thanks, Lois, for uploading them!

Wink 'Window Quad' details....

So weird trying to remember what I did with what (even when I see the piece in front of me), but gonna give it the old 'CP' try...

1. Took a sheet of 2-faced PP & did the 'fold & cut' to create the card base.

2. Schmeared one face of TH's 'cracked' (so appropriate) e-folder with 'bundled sage' so only the front of the card got embossed--really 'impressed' with the results! (insert groans)

3. Used my small oakleaf punch to create the window--by symetrical 'nibbling'.

4. Used the neg. & pos. Asian borders (Posh) with StazOn (Ultramarine) on shipping labels to do a 'two-fer'--(more than) 3 flowers & torn paper!

5. Used a butterfly stamp to make a bevy of b-flys to see thru the window.

6. Used a MS punch & (blue) shipping label to make the separate b-flys on front & inside--over-stamped them with an IBFS image (looking back? Kinda wish I'd put them through an e-folder, too. 'Sok, I can do that sometime soon! )

Think I've 'covered' all the points for this one ('cept the ones on my head & I can always do a 'comb-over')

Knew I forgot something... I used a MS border punch (lace heart?) on the inside of the card edge.

Daniel your cards are wonderful. I never would have thought of bath powder and shipping tape. You are a delight to have in this club and a wonderful paper artist. Thanks for sharing your creations with us. Mary
