Thanks for sharing, Wendy.

I made shutter Christmas cards last year, but at the full size (around 6 x 12")

Below is one of my results. (I forgot to save one for myself, so I had a friend take a pic of the one I sent her!) I had to limit embellishments and paper weight so that the card staye under 20 grams for international mailing.

I originally followed the instructions from this youtube video. (The narrator sounds really ditzy, but if you can put up with that, the instructions are easy to follow.) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ASvhjIvn9PQ

Here's another link that looks good -- a simpler version which allows a bigger back panel with more room for writing. I want to try that soon.

Very nice! It is nice to 'see' the actual demo instead of just reading/deciphering the instructions. ~ Wendy

Wow, really pretty card!! It looks complicated, but once you have the dimensions and make one, it isn't! Thanks for the inspiration

Thanks for the larger photo. I have one cut out in ATC size and when I unfold it, it looks similar to the above but somewhere I still think I may be off in the directions. Hmmm.
Sherm thanks for the links I will have to check them out but may I ask a question about yours?
On the first face the one that shows the green ornament that is rasied with pop dots or tape, when folded flat does that edge align with edge on the last panel (the one farthest in the background)

Thumbs up

What a great resource thread this is turning into for doing 'folds'!

Wendy's template+ & Sherm's links to videos are good examples of CPs who share! WTG!

In that spirit I'm going to try to share a blog that has lots of different 'folds' & does them as photo step-by-steps--an easy way for me to see what the cardmaker does since my dial-up connection is so slow for watching videos
