Sequins are good, same bright colors and if you didn't get a good seal, or they get handed poorly in the mail, sequins don't come out as easy.
And I have a ton of them from sewing projects!

Daniel...do people in FL carve real pumpkin Jack-o-Lanterns and if they do, when are the put on their porches? Are they like us in LA that have to wait until Oct 30th to put them out so the pumpkins do not grow green fur and moldy and start to collapse and weep? i suppose it makes for a much creepier Jack-o-lantern (being all gooey), but I was always frustrated my beautiful work of art seemed to be destroyed! My friends all say...get the resin or styrofoam ones that are pre-carved. They look so real! That's cheating!!

Good question, Judy. I haven't seen many carved ones here. I don't think it's just a matter of the climate tho.
Even back in PA by the time I left fewer folks were carving real ones. I agree with you that it's a shame.
Yeah it's messy, but fun. And you can roast the seeds~yummy
BTW... The attached card is not an entry since I did it for another challenge.

Here in the valley of the sun, it is too hot for the pumpkin on the porch.
I leave it the air conditioning till Halloween eve, then put stickers or paint on it and put on the porch.
Next morning I cut up the pumpkin, cook the pumpkin and the seeds.
Save the cooked, seved pumpkin in freezer to make into pie. Eat the seeds!

Growing up in the '50s, there are 2 fall fragrances I remember well--the incense of burning leaves & the savory smell of Jack-o-lantern flesh being roasted by the cable's flame.
One of my favorite Ray Bradbury books is the Halloween Tree. The story is magical as were the illustrations.

We're not far from the end of October & I thot I'd do one last piece for April's challenge.
Although the overlay of burnished crayons on the elements somewhat obscures the under coloring, I used brown, olive, orange, brown & more.
While most of the work is hand drawing, I stamped the crows. I also embossed the elements with a stylus.
There's still time for y'all to share your stuff.
Thanks for another fun challenge, April.
P.S.: although I'm not usually crazy about this PP, I like the way it works as a BG for this card
