Love your card Yankee. And you are so right the spider added that final touch. I had to really study it to figure out how you did that.

April you did a beautiful card. And it is still so you even if you did not layer. Nice layering with the stamps. I'm just not good at that mine seem to get muddled to quickly.

Here is my entry. It is an Art Impression stamp of the ladies and the seagrass is POSH. Thanks for the challenge.

Really liking all the cards. Each one is very much its creator!

I finished mine & it's in the mail. Will share it as soon as I can.

I see Loosy added a poll. Great, but I don't plan to vote until we get closer to end of the month. It's early days, yet.

Talking

I decided to go 'full tilt' on the recycle aspect of this challenge.

Found a colorful piece of junk mail & folded it so it would stand up. On the front I stamped 'Hep Santa' (Judikins), masked him & used ink pens (Pigma) to add the lines.

Stamped each separate area--triangle, circle & rectangles--with a different butterfly stamp (unknown set).

Denise, I love your ladies. They are adorable (my age) and I would not put on a swimsuit to save my life. Thanks you for sending us all the great fun cards that you do.

Backatcha, Loosy. Start a 'good' challenge & CPs will play.

Have to share a 'funny' with y'all. I showed this card on another site & member said she saw Hep Santa as a 'drum major'. What's funny is that before I inked & stamped 'HS', I thot he was an artist holding a brush & pallete. Go figure!

With plenty of time to do more entries for the challenge, I might just see if I turn Santa into Picasso. Oooh! The oval stamp from Judikins would make a great pallete & rug! Looks like I have lots of masks to make! Hooray!

Yes he really is a Hep Santa. Great and to think I received that same piece of junk mail, stopped, looked at it and decided I had too many "I'll use it one day pieces of paper. hahahahahahaha" You always color outside the lines. I mean that as a compliment. Very creative.

LOL, TerriO. I actually found a 2nd piece of the same junk mail in my pile.

My 2nd attempt @ a card for this challenge was going along beautifully. Everything worked. It was durn good--ifidosaysomyself! Note the past tense. The final swipe 'n wipe obliterated most of the detail.

'Sok. Once I turned the air blue over my 'dumb move', I decided to use it as a learning experience. So... I'm going to do another with the same elements & techniques. AND I kept the 'goof' so I can share it, too. Might help someone else if they run into the same problem.

Wink

My last entries for Loosy's challenge to do non-layered entries.

Here's my 'oops'. I loved the the layout & coloring. Used the swipe & wipe technique, but went too blue with the Distress Ink. 'Sok! Taught me & I don't hate the composition.

With a good 'oops' out of the way, I did another try. Kept all the same elements & the composition.

Screwed up the pallete so I cut it away & made a 'window' into a version I didn't hate.

Neat card, Daniel!! i just saw the santa cards after I saw the tea party with frogs and had already commented. I love the Santas, especially the modern one "painting" the classical Santa. Great work!
