I just sent my COTM out today as well. This up and down weather is crazy! One day is cold, snowy and windy AND the next is in the 50's-60's! I wish it would make up it's mind. So, I am looking forward to seeing what wonderful COTM's this month brings us. Hugs, DebRN

March2019 COTM

Running late on getting my card out but hopefully will get it completed this week.
In the meantime I wanted to share the cute and creative card that I received from Sheila Rose. Thank you so much. It brightened my day as I received it after we returned to town after being away for a few days.
But I need to know how you did a few of these steps. I am very intrigued as to how you got these results! I'm sorry but I do not know how to get this smaller. Better to see details this way!

COTM: Mar 2019

Title: You Lift Me Up
Keywords: Stencilling with shaving cream then ink (which is something I want to know more about....never seen that done); then she used paste thru a stencil?, Stamped the balloon and colored with distress markers

I love the background on your card, Sheila! Looks like you might have used a gelli plate? Great card.

Here is my card from Ann. She used tulips from Stampin' Up and gold wrapping paper as a matte. The red is a sparkly paper. Thanks for the pretty card, Ann!

Ok, shaving cream through a stencil. Very easy, grandsons loved it.
Use a stencil with medium holes for best results. Put your shaving cream on paper plate, thin layer, add your coloring( any will do reinkers, poster paint, food coloring etc)
Swirl the colors with credit card (fake ones that come in mail are great)
put your paper down then the stencil of your choice, scoop up the shaving cream with coloring and push it on the stencil, dragging off the extra. Like your frosting a cake.
And clean up, let paper dry.
The one I did had lots of red in it, but I liked the circles, so I stenciled it again with stencile paste( tweet layers to get height). Then I stenciled it with a tiny circle and blue ink!
Then I went through my stamps to find a image with a circle look to complete all the circles!

Here is the card I sent Lois. I bought this shaggy cow stamp in Scotland years ago. We got to see one up close. They are quite strange looking with the long hair over their eyes! The saying stamp is unknown. I used handmade paper for the "grass" and a star stencil for the sky.

Thank you Sheila for explaining that. I have studied it and kept thinking you put the stencil face down on the shaving cream and then pressed the paper down on top of it. I never could quite understand how you got it so even. I am looking forward to trying this. Thanks for sharing!

Ann your card is so elegant. The layering with the gold foil really makes the beautiful tulips stand out.

April your card made me laugh. What's moo? Too cute.
