Yes, it is fun to go back into your stash and use things that you have not used in a long time. It is like it is new again! Have fun, Wendy!

April, hooray for you. Have fun. I had a great time at Stampaway and we just got to see Judi. She had a flight out and we just caught her before she left. It was a good talk as she wasn't trying to do demos. We got to sit with her and have a nice conversation. I have decided that this was my last Stampaway. It was too hard for both Ann and me. My getting around was harder than last year. She has stairs to her apartment and stairs are the hardest for me. Also I think Ann was worried each time I walked around. I will miss Ann and Go-Go, and Judi, but I think it's for the best. I did get something new to try and that is foil. I have the Minc machine, so I will be using something I haven't used for a while with some new stuff. Maybe I will find a way to get to Novi or Birch Run and not have to take that long bus trip to Cinci.

Kay, I am glad you got to go to Stamp Away and that you got to talk to Judi. I miss seeing Judi down our way. We are having the Scrap and Stamp Art Tour come here to our city this year in Sept! We have not had a stamp show here in many years. This will be a very small show, but at least it is here! I hope they keep returning too. We all have to go to Georgia for most of the shows.

This past Sunday was my son's wedding in Chraleston, SC! The weather was great and all went well. So glad since Dorian is bearing down on them now. I hope they will be safe and not a lot of flooding.I hope you all had a nice Labor Day weekend.

Dorian is packing a punch in Charleston but it could be worse. The trees along one side of my son's property line have been uprooted and have pulled his fence down on that side. The tress are in the neighbor's yard. I think they belong to the neighbor. Hubby will be going down this weekend to help him get the fence back up and to deal with the trees. Thankfully the fence is down in sections and not all splintered!
I hope they do not get any more damage!

We went down to Charleston on Tuesday. Hubby took down about 9 small trees that were beside my son's house. They cut up the 3 trees that landed in the neighbor's yard. Some more dirt needs to be brought in to fill the area in order to put up the fence. Hopefully the tree culling will help them in future storms.

I will be going to a scrapbook store tomorrow to stamp and celebrate a stamping friend's birthday! 7 of us go and stamp all day. Looking forward to a good time!

Hope you all are having a good Friday the 13th!

April

I went to the Stamp and Scrap Art Tour show on Saturday. It was a small show, but that did not stop me from buying!! LOL! This is the first time in many years that we have had a stamp show here. I learned later that they plan to come back here next year! YEAH! A group of us from our local stamp club did the make-n-take on Friday night. It was fun and we made 10 projects! Has anyone gone to a show lately or is planning to go to one soon?

I went to Stampaway in Cincinnati this past August. Kay came down from Toledo, stayed at my place and we went together. Stampaway has been in Cincinnati for many years, most likely around fifteen. It is a big show with many vendors, enough to wear you out, but well worth going. I have only missed two or three through the years. I always look forward to going, spending money, seeing all the new things, and of course, seeing Judi. I'm already stamping with the stamps I bought. It's so much fun to get new things. I'm looking forward to next year's show.

I went to Stampaway about 8 years ago. I really enjoyed it. It is very far away for me, so I don' know when I will ever go back.

Being that I live only 15 minutes away from Stampaway makes it quite easy to get there. Of course, the parking is something else! But still worth all the walking to get into the convention
center.

Yesterday I worked with my alcohol inks on Tim Holtz black matte paper. I used Pearl alcohol inks on it and they showed up so nicely! I used regular alcohol inks on the brushed silver paper.
