OK, now I'm mad that I got rid of the one my kids had. Well, better go buy another one. Guess what I'm playing with tonight.
Happy stamping................Marcy

Spin Art backgrounds

Wow, what a great design that made..now if only I can find one of those spin art thingies as you call them. I had never heard of these before, but will be looking now. I can see all sorts of possibilities with the use of this. Thanks for sharing this technique. Hugs, Verna

Wink spin art

Hi All,
Just received my April/May Rubberstamper mag and on page 50 is an example of spin art. Thought those of you interested in spin art would like to see it. I've used spin art in my pre-school class but never put it to use as a background but you can be sure I will now. Gotta go stamp.

Just to let you know, they do have them at Michaels and they are
$14.99. I forgot my coupon last night, so I'll be stopping again tonight. Marcy

spin-art machine

Boy am I dissapointed! Of all the things my kids had growing
up and that I kept, the spin-art machine was not one of them.
Oh well, will have to get me one of them. I love the look they
give as a background. Your card would be a good one to send
to one of the military. I think it would sure cheer the person
up who received it.

Patti,
Thanks for pointing out the spin art in the rubberstamper mag. I got mine friday and haven't had a chance to look at it yet. It goes to show that I'm not the only one who uses everything and anything for stamping! LOL! I'm looking forward to seeing what can really be done with a spin art background. Once I'm stamping again, I plan to do up a few cards with the spin art papers we've created.

i am disappointed with my effort. i am probably the only one who can make a mess with red and blue ink. did you know it it is a ugly black if it mixes while its spinning. i will try it again with some new glossy cardstock.

spin art

I wonder if it would work better if you tried one color at a time. I bought the machine last fri. but the only size battery in the house was the size I needed for the machine. Good luck. Try try again.

Do keep trying. What brand did you buy Linda? We got one that was made by RoseArt and it didn't work very well. I returned it. We then got one called Paint and Swirl (something like that) and it is the one carried by Michaels (why didn't I think to look there first? duh!). We purchased ours at the local hobby store (and paid $2 more!! boo hoo......I could have used a coupon!!) and it works WAY better then the other one did.

the one i had is made from nasta. it is only about 14 years old my daughter (who is 21) got it for her birthday years ago. i did use one color at a time but it didn't do well. it was the old paper that had been in the set. i am going to use new paper and try it later today. if it still doesn't work i will see about getting a new one.

Ooooh! This is cool. I have a spin art that I got years ago because I had remembered how much fun it used to be when I was younger to do spin art at Cedar Point Amusement Park. Now I have something fun to do with it.
