I received a card from Judi. Very pretty and artistic.

background is Diamond Glaze and dye ink, .focus piece is stamped Mica Gloss on black gloss card stock , emphasised with applied Diamond Glaze for a raised effect.And a greeting stamped on velum.

Received this adorable die cut card from Debbie.  BUT I’m sorry, I left it at work and can’t quite remember what keywords to use. Sorry Debbie. Whew happy to hear Canadian postal strike over. My sister said advice in USA to not send Christmas cards to Canada. Phooey! Hopefully by now all Canadian mail has started flowing without delay.

On a different note, here is Blossom’s card received from Yankee…for some reason she and Wendy could not post. So sorry. Computers!! I’m not sure what the problem is. Ugh. Love al the layering and color reflection in the greeting. Merry Merry!! Looks to me like Sheila used vellum. Love that effect. And sheila if I’m wrong oopsie!!

Yes it is VELIUM.  I had the idea for the card and I made tit three different times to get the look I wanted.  I could have made it so much easier by cutting out the snowman and gluing on top.  But not the look i wanted.  I tried painting the back of the velium but that caused it to warp terribly.  So I stamped under the snowman on the inked background and colored him white with paint.  Finally got the soft snowy card I wanted with the color coming through for the snowman.

Yeah, that vellum sure doesn’t like water applications. Your card looks fab. Even though the process can be frustrating, it always feels good once ya get it to turn out the way you want. OOXX
